Settling down isn’t the same for everyone. Queenie’s version, for instance, involves huffing the chemicals under her kitchen sink while her husband is at work. This open-world dance and theatre piece introduces you to the alluring bleach mascot, Mrs. Fresh. When Queenie returns to the real world, she realises that Mrs. Fresh has escaped the psychedelic suds of her mop bucket. Mrs. Fresh’s looming presence purveys Queenie’s ruptured state of wellbeing and ushers in a burgeoning sexual awakening long after she’s ‘settled down.’ INVADER presents a sensory experience of being dragged along behind your own life story, stretching beyond the imagination and into the psychotomimetic.
